Michael Lucy is an award-winning journalist and science writer. Since 2019 he has been deputy editor for science and technology at The Conversation, and was previously an editor at The Monthly and Cosmos magazine. He also worked in communications for the Tongan ministry of agriculture and the Melbourne-based agency Science in Public.
