Louisa is a PhD student at the ADM+S, QUT. Louisa studies governance of and by algorithmic recommendation on commercial digital platforms in entertainment and cultural spaces, combining conceptual work with empirical analysis (via algorithm audits). She focuses in particular on processes of recommendation around contentious historical debates and on historically under-represented content creators’ demands for improved visibility. Her research asks: What would it mean for platforms to nudge responsibly?
